The Jobs Program is Arizonas mandatory employment and training program for work-eligible individuals generally adults in households receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families TANF Cash Assistance. The program engages people in a variety of work-related activities to increase their employable skillset and may offer supportive and some specialized services to remove barriers to employment. These activities and supportive services are provided to encourage and promote self-sufficiency through employment at the earliest opportunity.The Jobs Programs case management and employment services are operated by two private vendors: MAXIMUS and Arbor/ResCareThe Department is responsible for determining a households eligibility for Cash Assistance. Once approved or pre-approved in some cases for these benefits all work-eligible individuals are referred to the Jobs Program contractors to receive case management and employment services.Participation in work activities through the Jobs Program work is generally part of the federal requirement for receiving Cash Assistance.
