We serve the working poor of Gilbert. The Bureau of Labor Statistics classifies the working poor as people who spent at least 27 weeks a year working or looking for work but whose income still falls below the poverty level line.Since 2001 weve given Gilbert residents the supplemental food and clothing they need to make it through the month. Those who are eligible receive 2 food boxes a month based on the size of their family and 3 clothing items per family member once a month.As were 100 volunteer-driven we rely heavily on the generosity of the Gilbert community. Most of the food and clothing we offer comes from local churches food banks schools and donors like you. We couldnt have open arms without your open hearts.
